How Do Torsion Springs Function?
Much like any spring, storage door torsion springs save mechanical power, causing them to tighten. They are best for use with heavier garage doors.
What Do They Do?
Torsion springs are installed horizontally above your storage door. While the door goes down, cables attached to the bottom corners apply pressure to the springs to wind up, in turn energizing the gadget. while you open the door, the springs then unwind and their power transfers to the door,, allowing the door to open morefreely.
Life Cycle & Pressure
